Major Investment Forum Opens in Bulgaria's Plovdiv

Bulgaria's Finance Minister Milen Velchev opened Tuesday the fourth edition of Bulgarian Investment Forum in Plovdiv - Bulgaria's second largest city. The two-day event, which for the first time takes place outside the capital city, runs under the heading "Regional Investment Projects - The European Way. Perspectives 2007". Forum's opening session is named "The strategic importance of Southern Central Region and Plovdiv for the economic growth and European integration of Bulgaria". Some of the issues to be discussed concern the investment activities in the real estate market, tourism, industry in Southern Central Region. Transport corridors and logistic centers, as well as the challenges before country's entering the EU will also be on the agenda of talks. More than 250 participants have joined the forum.
